Welcome to Carden Medical Centre Website

Extended Hours!
The practice has embraced the move to extended hours and opens 6pm to 8pm on alternate Wednesday/Thursdays. Patients will be able to book appointments from the Monday of the same week. By offering increased flexibility we hope patients who meantime have difficulty getting to the doctor, will now have added opportunity. The doctors by offering this service will try and share out the responsibility equitably, but please bear in mind that the doctors will already have been working from 8.30am in the morning, as we still have to deal with the daytime commitments.
Yes
it is that time of year again as much as we would all rather forget it, Flu and
of course Christmas shopping. What is worst is open to debate but at least we
can vaccinate you against Flu unlike Christmas shopping. Call the practice for
details on appointments. Also click the link to access all the information you
need to understand why you need your flu jag.
Meantime I hope you find the other links in this website helpful. Most of what has been going on in the practice is detailed in the Newsletters and the October 2008 issue is now available to read.
Register
You can also easily register with the practice by completing the online registration form.
Travel Vaccination
You can complete the form required by the nurse in Adobe Reader and save time by handing this in before your appointment
New GPs
The practice like all large organisations has over the year had a change in personnel both medical and non-medical. We have said farewell to Dr McKenzie and Dr Val Steven who have left for pastures new but we welcome Dr Cath McLaren, Dr Adrian Crofton, Dr Catriona West and Dr Claire Crothers who is undertaking a maternity locum for Dr Marwick. All these doctors bring their own special skills to the practice and will help to provide our patients with the best possible care and attention
The Practice Information link will provide most of the information you will be looking for.
Your Doctors will always do their best for you. But they need your help to provide the best care for all patients.
Please show your
support by following these simple guidelines:
-
Please treat your doctor and their staff as you would expect to be treated by them - with politeness and respect.
-
Please cancel appointments that you cannot attend or no longer need - somebody else is always waiting.
-
Please think twice before calling a doctor to your home - is a visit really necessary?
-
Please do not expect a prescription every time you visit the surgery - good advice is often the best treatment.
-
Please remember that you can find basic health information elsewhere - for example your local pharmacist or via web links.
-
Please request your repeat prescriptions in good time - this help avoid delays.
-
Please remember that doctors are only human - they cannot solve all your problems and some illnesses cannot be cured.
If you have genuine complaint, please contact the business manager first. This is the quickest way to solve any problems.
Thank you for helping Carden Medical Centre to provide a better service.
