Home Visits

Doctor's bag

To ask for a doctor to visit you at home, please ring the surgery before 10.00am (Monday to Friday).

If you think you can manage along to the surgery, we would ask that you please do that, as the doctor has all the support there needed to treat you.

This also helps us - travelling time when out and about means that a doctor can see perhaps 6 or 7 home visits in a day, but would be able to deal with 30-40 patients in the same day if they stay in the practice.

Please give as much information as possible when requesting a home visit.

The doctor is allowed to weigh up carefully whether you need to be seen and if so, where and when; and may therefore telephone before agreeing to a home visit.
